So recently I visited this mall and was pretty impressed with the shops, food options and general layout of the mall. Parking was super easy and for those wanting to come by bus, there is a stop just across the road.
First I’ll give you some quick info about the mall:
Lotte Mall Dongbusan branch is Asia’s largest premium outlet mall, the multi-shopping complex Lotte Mall Dong Busan Branch opened up on December 23, 2014.
It has 2 two basement levels and 4 above ground floors. The mall contains 551 brands including 407 outlet stores and an additional 114 shops in the shopping mall, selling a variety of items such as electronic items, daily goods and heaps more at discounted prices. It also has a cinema with 6 theaters, but also a lighthouse observatory overlooking the sea, fountain square and rose garden.
Part of the reason I made my way out to this recently opened Outlet Mall is the fact that it is located right next to one of Busan’s most famous temples, Haedong Yonggungsa Temple which is great as you can visit both on the same day 🙂 (btw if you haven’t heard of this temple, you can see what all the fuss is about on TripAdvisor).
Tip: click the ‘more options’ link to open it in google maps which gives you more information.
From Seomyeon, it will take just over an hour to get there which is not too bad because you can also visit Haedong Yonggungsa Temple while you are there. If you have time, I would definitely recommend travelling on further to Gijang Crab Market ( 기장 대게시장 ) which has some incredibly tasty seafood (with Crabs being the highlight).
The Crab Market can be reached by bus in 30 minutes from Lotte Outlet Mall or Haedong Yonggungsa Temple. The good thing being, you can then take a direct bus back to the city from the Crab Market.
Bus 181 takes you there 🙂
Anyways back to the OUTLET MALL!
We arrived by car and it was very easy to find a car park although it was quite busy. Plenty of staff outside showing customers to free parking spots which was very convenient.
For those who caught the bus here, I have included the map below to help you find your way back to the city 🙂
Bus 63 all the way back 🙂
Also, if you want to change the end destination from Seomyeon to something else, simply click ‘more options’ on the map and then enter in your new destination.

Thanks for these comprehensive accounts! They make planning so much easier since I only have a couple of days there on my upcoming trip.
Not a problem Stacey 🙂
I hope you enjoy your trip.
Hi! How do you get here thru subway? Thank you! 🙂
Hi Anna,
The subway line ends just after Haeundae Beach in Jangsan, so it isn’t possible by train.
Below is the easiest way to get there from Seomyeon:
Hi,
I saw a Uniqlo and 8 Seconds sign in one of the buildings in your photo, but when I checked the store listings, it’s not there. There’s really a Uniqlo store? 😛
Hi Danica,
Those stores a definitely there. This outlet mall is quite new so I doubt store would already be closed. I visited a couple of weeks ago and both of those stores were open 🙂
Do you know if on average prices are cheaper at duty free shops or at the outlet? Thanks!
Hi Steph, I would think it depends on how heavily discounted the item is at the outlet store.
Hi, how far is the temple from the outlet store? Izit walking distance? Tks!
Hi Ryan,
About a 10-15 minute walk or 5 minutes in a taxi. It’s about 1.5 kms.
hi
can you please advise if it is easy to get a cab from the outlet mall
Hi Kitty,
Yep, should be easy to get a taxi from the mall (I have done it on several occasions without a problem).
If you can speak Korean that is great, if not I would have the address of your accommodation in Korean to show the taxi driver.
Hi, how far is Lotte outlet mall with Haedong Yonggungsa Temple? Is it walking distance?
thanks
About a 10-15 minute walk or 5 minutes in a taxi. It’s about 1.5 kms.
Hi, does this mall work regularly on Sunday? all the stores are open?
Hi Galit,
Yes, it is open on Sundays and all of the stores are open.
hi,
can we take bus 181 from the temple station to the outlet?
thanks
Hi Brian,
What do you mean by Temple Station?
Here is a link to the bus from the Temple to the Outlet: http://dmaps.kr/58iio
I would recommend getting a taxi, will be cheaper and easier.
Hi is there any mcm outlet there?
Hi Fion, it doesn’t seem like it. I never noticed it while I have been there. You can check the brands they have here
