Nampo-dong ( 남포동 )

Nampo-dong Market would be the best place to start in Busan as there are loads of small food stalls, large brand chains, a big department store and really a bit of everything here. It is also very close to Jagalchi (자갈치), so its worth visiting both at the same time.

  1. Hi Mark,

Would it be too much to ask, to draw / mark out, on a google map screenshot, the location of which part of Nampo-dong that’s worth visiting? I can’t seem to find Nampo-dong Market on google map. Thanks.

    1. These are probably the best areas to start in Nampo-dong.

      Place: BIFF Square
Google Map Address: BIFF gwangjang-ro, Jung-gu, Busan, South Korea

      Place: Gukje Market (남포동 국제시장)
      Google Map Address: Gukje Market

Place: Gwangbok-dong Cultural & Fashion Street (광복로문화패션거리)
Google Map Address: 24 Gwangbokdong 2(i)-ga, Jung-gu, Busan, South Korea

      Place: Busan Tower, Yongdusan Park
      Google Map Address: Busan Tower

This Korea Tourism Site will be helpful as well.

That should get you started. Remember, Jagalchi Fish Market is just across the road (literally a 2 minutes walk from Nampo-dong).

I hope that is sufficient 🙂
